The sun was brightly shining - as usual - but there was not a cloud in the sky to block the sun’s hot rays. Yet, people were enjoying the day at the park. We even noticed that there were other families having their portraits taken. So, here are some of our favorite shots of this young family - naturally showing their love, and patiently allowing us to capture the moments.

I love shooting fireworks, too!
It’s summer once again and it’s also the season for the world’s largest pyro-musical competition. If you’re a Vancouverite or if you are visiting the beautiful city, you should not miss it. The HSBC Celebration of Light 2009 Fireworks Show is coming to English Bay starting July 22. Check the Celebration of Light’s website for the schedule.
Here are some photos I took of the event since 2006. These photos were taken from the Bathhouse Roof in English Bay. If you like them and if you want to capture your own, I suggest that you VISIT this LINK and grab a seat before anyone else does.

We took portraits of this family at a park near their place. The boys are obviously eager to play and run around on the green grass. It was a wonderful opportunity to capture their playful mood.
We are glad that they allowed us to capture the moments.
See our fave shots…

Wedding bells are surely ringing!
I can’t wait to throw rose petals to the newly weds. Aw…I’ll be holding my camera then…guess I couldn’t join in the throwing. Well, capturing the moment is more fun!
Just like capturing these ones! =D

It will surely be a pleasure and honor for us to capture the fleeting moments on your wedding day.

It was such a pleasure capturing passing moments of this family. The kids are naturally friendly and the camera loves them. Their lightheartedness is contagious. It was obvious that this family loves each other sooo much. Yup! Yup! Yup! =) See our favorite ones.

Thank you very much for all your the smiles!

This post is about sites in a city that still have the essence of countryside. I call them “Rural Corners”.
We visited our relatives in Edmonton on mid-May; and while on the road from the airport, my wife noticed an abandoned truck parked not so distant from the hi-way and told me that its going to make a good fine art photo. Two days after, I checked out the place, and alas! My wife was right. Indeed her eyes are artsy!

Just around the area, I saw these:

A version of the abandoned truck:

The day after I had a photo shoot with 3 Edmonton models themed Beauty and Senior-Hi Portraits. But there was a sudden change in the weather. Check it out here.
We flew back to BC after a couple more days and visited a “Rural Corner” in Richmond. Here are some photos.

These photos are available on Limited Edition Canvas 24×36 prints - 5 to be sold for each. Smaller sizes available. If you are interested, don’t hesitate to send us a note.

I had the chance to work with these three pretty-faced-great-personality ladies when I and my family visited Edmonton last May. We did the shoot around the university area, though the weather was not so permitting for it was chilly-windy with flurries. Yup! flurries in May. It was supposed to be an outdoor set but the shoot moved on. It’s just that we opted to do an indoor one and unleash the ’strobist’ in me. There were times when the rain stopped and the wind calmed down a bit, so we had some shots outdoor too. I truly appreciate their patience for they still willingly posed and smiled at the camera (See, not a trace of chilliness in their faces!).

The photo shoot was filled with fun and laughter. The kids are so friendly, though it was their first time to meet me, it was like they have known me for a long time. It’s a privilege for me to have taken portraits of this happy family. See some of my fave shots.

Thank you, my friends.

Yey! Spring! Though it’s still a bit chilly but the parks are getting visitors…the young ones…and the young once. The kids suggested that we do their spring photo shoot at the park. So we did! Children were happy…parents were happy…everybody was happy. It was fun!

Thank you so much for sharing your lovely family!
